Coeur Blanc at BMW i Park Lane15/03/2018
On Thursday 15th February 2018, BMW i Park Lane were honoured to host Coeur Blanc for their launch event. We welcomed 50 guests to the showroom to raise awareness for their upcoming Ski Event and the charity they are raising funds for, Guy’s and St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust.
First guests networked enjoying a wine reception courtesy of Majestic Wine. Pierre Taylor – joint founder of Coeur Blanc then opened the evening with a welcome and introduction to Guy’s and St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust missions.
For 2018, Coeur Blanc has chosen to support a very exciting project at St Thomas’ Hospital that could revolutionise the way that heart attacks are diagnosed throughout the world, saving lives and valuable medical resources.
The project of the charity is to develop a life changing device to detect heart attacks quicker than current tests can. Pierre then handed over to Dr. Hannah McConkey, who explained the progress of the project and the immense benefits for patients and hospitals that the device would bring.
This faster and more accurate diagnosis uses a handheld device to run an instantaneous blood test at a point when time is a critical factor for survival and those who can safely be sent home will put less strain on resources.
The funds raised through the Coeur Blanc will enable St Thomas’ Hospital to create a functioning prototype and purchase devices for field testing.
PIERRE TAYLOR Pierre is the joint founder of Coeur Blanc.
DR. HANNAH MCCONKEY Dr. Hannah McConkey is a cardiovascular research student at King’s College London.
